Satisfy your bagel craving with these Keto Everything Bagels without the guilt! They are low in carbs, gluten free and great for sandwiches or with cream cheese.
Just because you are following the ketogenic diet doesn’t mean you need to be deprived from bagels. While you can’t have regular bagels because of all the carbs, you can make your own from fathead dough and Everything But the Bagel Seasoning with this keto bagels recipe. It’s keto friendly, soft, chewy and tastes delicious.
If you have not tried Everything But the Bagel Seasoning you are missing out. It is seriously good on everything. I often use it on celery with cream cheese or Everything Bagel Keto Cheese Chips. If you don’t have the Everything Seasoning on hand you can make your own with Poppy Seeds, Sesame Seeds, Black Sesame Seeds,Flaked Sea Salt,Minced Dried Onion, and Minced Dried Garlic.
Ingredients
Makes 6 Bagels
1 cup almond flour
1 1/5 cups mozzarella cheese (freshly grated or bag is fine)
1 egg
2 tablespoons of cream cheese
1/2 tablespoon of olive oil
1.5 teaspoons of baking powder
1 tablespoon of Everything but the Bagel Seasoning
How to Make Keto Everything Bagels
Preheat oven to 375F and prepare a sheet pan or baking sheet with parchment paper.
Combine the almond flour, baking powder, and half tablespoon of seasoning and mix well. Add mozzarella and cream cheese to the bowl and microwave in 45 second increments until the cheese is completed melted and forms a ball of dough. Should go through 2 cycles.
Add the egg to the bowl and vigorously mix it or use your hands, just make sure the egg is fully incorporated into your dough. You will want to make four balls of dough. Roll them each into a ball and gently push a finger through the center to make a nickel sized hole.
Place on parchment paper and repeat on the other three bagels. Make sure the bagels are two inches apart. Use the olive oil and brush the bagels on top and top with remaining seasoning.
Bake for 15-20 minutes, until a nice golden brown forms on top. Let cool for 10-15 minutes and then enjoy!
