This creamy Brown Sugar Fruit Dip has been one of the most popular recipes on our website for a long time. And for good reason – it’s easy, it’s so delicious, and it comes together in only a matter of minutes!

There are lots of fruit dip recipes out there that are so good (like our Creamy Fruit Dip), but this one is one of my favorites.

I feel like the cream cheese mixed with the sweetness of the brown sugar is what makes this dip incredible. Throw in a splash of vanilla and this dip is ready to go.

How To Make Fruit Dip:

The first ingredient used in this recipe is a block of cream cheese. You can use full fat cream cheese, Neufchatel cream cheese (which is just a lighter version), Greek yogurt cream cheese . . . any of them will work great.

You want to make sure that your cream cheese is softened to make mixing really easy.

How to soften cream cheese:

To soften the cream cheese, you can pull the cream cheese out of the fridge about an hour before making this dish to let the cream cheese come to room temperature.

Or to speed the softening process up, completely unwrap the cheese and place on a microwave-safe plate. Microwave the cream cheese on high for about 15 seconds and it will be nice and soft and ready for mixing!

I creamed all of the ingredients together using my hand mixer until it was smooth, but you could easily whip it by hand if you desire. And . . . that’s it! This dip really could not be easier!

If you are looking for a little garnish to add to the top, feel free to sprinkle some brown sugar on there. Some of our readers love adding Heath toffee bits to this dip (they say that it tastes like heaven!).

I have also drizzled some caramel sauce over the top and it looked and tasted amazing.

We have also had some readers substitute Splenda or other artificial sweeteners for the brown sugar and their dips turned out delicious.

Find the variation that works best for you and your family – you might even find a new add-in that takes this dip over-the-top.

This dip is really fun to make at a family gathering. Just put the ingredients in a thick freezer ziplock and let the kids pass it around a knead it together. Especially good to do in a Family Home Evening Lesson or while playing a game. Everyone has a good time mixing it in the plastic bag. Then just plop everything in a bowl. They all feel like they "made" the dip, and love to eat it up.

  6. Trude Sperry says:

Love this! Even better with almond extract instead of vanilla. Even smells good!

  7. Sylvia W says:

A friend introduced me to this recipe, and I had to make adjustments for my diet - cashew cream cheese and swerve brown sugar replacement, but it still worked! Adding this to my snack rotation, as I prefer fruit as my evening go-to snack. Thank you!
